South Greenland - An Arctic Paradise

South Greenland is an adventurous paradise full of wide open spaces, friendly hospitable people, and incredible arctic skies that must be seen to be believed.

In this northern land the summer nights are long and the midnight sunsets paint the skies with a spectacular array of colours not seen anywhere else on earth.

With the cleanest air on the planet, this is the best place to view the northern lights that begin to appear in August, as the long arctic nights begin to fade. The slow pace of the small towns and villages is a relaxing alternative to the hustle and bustle of city life. This subarctic, pristine playground with long green fjords, sculpture shaped ice bergs, sheep farms, Viking Runes and small coastal settlements is where Erik the Red and his fellow Vikings settled in the year 986. In the many years of travel there, I can certainly understand their passion for this beautiful and incredibly powerful land. It is a passion that I now also have.

My photo book of South Greenland was released in late 2004. This coffee table book has 224 pages, with 300 colour photos of this special part of the world I now consider my second home.

The retail price for my book is $60.00 (CAD) + shipping. For more info please feel free to contact me. – kevinophoto@canada.com
